Velozient is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our U.S. client in a remote/hybrid capacity. The role requires 7+ years of SRE experience, with hands-on AWS EKS, PHP, and Laravel expertise.

You will ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability across applications and AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers and vendors, handle on-call incidents, and contribute code fixes via pull requests.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Experience with PHP applications and Laravel framework.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience (EC2, S3, VPC, EKS).

• Experience with monitoring/observability tools.

• Ability to participate in on-call rotations and production incident response.

We are looking for a full-time, remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our U.S. client. The ideal candidate will have a strong application-focused background, with experience working with PHP and Laravel applications, as well as hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, especially AWS EKS.

This is a hybrid role with responsibilities across application-level support and AWS infrastructure. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will support application and service reliability, address bugs, develop fixes, maintain application performance, contribute code changes through pull requests, and work with AWS infrastructure. In this role, you will work as part of an integrated team supporting production applications and services.

Our client provides integrated software and marketing solutions for the hospitality industry, specializing in short-term rental management. Their platform provides vacation rental companies with an enterprise-class Property Management System integrating booking, guest communications, and financial reporting systems - all built with partner organization integrations in mind.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the reliability and performance of PHP/Laravel applications and services
• Support AWS infrastructure, including AWS EKS, EC2, S3, VPC, and related AWS infrastructure services
• Address application bugs and production issues
• Read and debug application code to identify issues
• Develop and implement fixes for application-related issues
• Work with developers to develop bug fixes when needed
• Create pull requests for application code changes
• Identify and address application performance issues
• Work closely with developers and other technical teams to troubleshoot application and service issues
• Support CI/CD for application deployments and monitor build times
• Monitor applications and services for performance, failures, and uptimeFollow continuous integration and continuous deployment practices for application code deployment
• Work within established change management processes to provide maximum uptime
• Interact and coordinate with architects, developers, vendors, and internal business partners
• Participate in on-call rotation

Required Experience

• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills
• 7+ years of experience in SRE
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, especially AWS EKS, including EC2, S3, VPC, and related AWS services
• 3-5 years of development experience working with PHP applications and environments
• Experience with Laravel
• Experience reading and debugging application code
• Experience troubleshooting application bugs and production issues
• Experience developing and implementing code fixes
• Experience creating pull requests for code changes
• Experience supporting application performance and reliability
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD
• Experience using CI/CD to deploy applications and monitor build times
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and responding to production incidents
• Strong collaboration skills across Engineering and technical teams

Desired Experience

• University degree or relevant industry experience
