AgileEngine, LLC. seeks a Senior SDET to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Web and API layers. You will drive the automation strategy, ensure high test coverage, and lead quality initiatives within squads, while mentoring engineers and promoting a quality-first culture.

You will work with modern tech stacks, implement shift-left testing in CI/CD, and contribute to delivering reliable software with fast feedback loops.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

• Framework Design: Build and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks from the ground up for both Web and API layers.
• Strategy & Leadership: Define the automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage and reliable release cycles within your squads.
• Backend Validation: Create comprehensive API automation suites to ensure the integrity of microservices.
• Frontend Validation: Implement and manage frontend automation scripts to ensure a top-tier user experience.
• Coaching: Mentor other engineers on testing best practices and foster a "quality-first" culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SDET to build and maintain Web and API automation frameworks from scratch and define the automation strategy within the squads.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (a \"developer-first\" approach to QA).
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of the \"shift-left\" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

NICE TO HAVES

• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with performance or load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• Experience working with mocking frameworks.
