We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer (SDET) to join a Wealth Management technology team responsible for applications used by financial advisors to manage client portfolios, investment models, and portfolio rebalancing strategies.

In this role, you will primarily focus on building and expanding automated testing solutions, improving test coverage, and supporting scalable testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines. You will also contribute to functional validation when necessary while helping strengthen the team’s overall automation capabilities.

These systems support critical financial workflows and data-driven processes, requiring strong attention to accuracy, data validation, and analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for UI and API layers
• Extend and enhance the existing automation framework based on Katalon Studio
• Implement automation using Playwright and modern automation frameworks
• Convert existing manual test cases into automated regression tests
• Contribute to expanding and maintaining the automated regression test suite
• Contribute to improving test architecture, automation frameworks, and engineering practices

Quality Assurance & Validation

• Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation
• Perform manual validation when required to support quality assurance
• Validate system functionality across portfolio management and investment workflows
• Conduct data validation and API response verification (JSON)
• Ensure test coverage across critical business scenarios and edge cases
• Analyze system behavior to ensure accuracy in data-driven and calculation-heavy workflows
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Enable continuous regression testing as part of the development lifecycle
• Contribute to improving release confidence and deployment quality

Collaboration & Quality Improvement

• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA engineers
• Identify quality risks early and communicate them clearly to the team
• Suggest improvements to testing strategies and automation frameworks
• Contribute ideas to improve automation efficiency and testing scalability

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in test automation engineering (QA Automation / SDET)
• Proven hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• Hands‑on experience with automation frameworks and scripting
• Experience with UI automation tools such as Katalon, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks
• Experience performing API testing and validation
• Familiarity with JSON request/response validation
• Experience working with automation integrated into CI/CD environments
• Strong understanding of test design principles and test case development
• Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, especially when validating complex data and calculations
• Ability to test complex workflows and algorithm‑driven systems

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

• Basic programming or scripting experience (Java or similar)
• Experience with financial systems or wealth management platforms
