What you will do

The Senior Scientist Oral Care LatAm is responsible for conducting research projects, analyzing data, making technical decisions, and ensuring adherence to regulations. You will work towards the development of new scientific concepts and technologies, continuously improving materials, processes, and procedures, and accurately recording and retaining project information:

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and execute, working in partnership with manufacturing plant, engineering, source, quality, and other stakeholders.
2. Develop and execute research plans and experiments to support end-to-end process launch for New/Existing Products and Commercial Innovation of Oral Care products in Latin America.
3. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mouthwashes product development.
4. Conduct research and development projects independently using established and novel technology while applying consumer insights.
5. Actively interact with Marketing, QA, Supply Chain, Medical & Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure effective execution of product development projects.
6. Represent R&D in multi-functional teams and ensure compliance with Quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
7. Coordinate technical cross-functional teams to develop recommendations for medium complex issues.
8. Design and execute multiple product development projects simultaneously, translating business needs into concrete R&D deliverables, according to the agreed brief and consumer needs, attending claim requirements, cost targets within budget and timeline.
9. Support the assessment and development of new scientific concepts and technologies.
10. Analyze and interpret data, drawing conclusions, and arriving at timely technical decisions.
11. Develop claims and demos to translate technical attributes into consumer benefits.
12. Work in partnership with suppliers to identify and develop innovations to feed future pipeline for New/Existing Products and Commercial Innovation.
13. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry or related areas.
2. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a related scientific field.
3. Background in product development and formulation.
4. Good communication and leadership skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
7. Advanced English is required.

Desired Qualifications

1. Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and develop new scientific concepts and technologies.
2. Experience in continuous improvement of materials, processes, products and/or scientific procedures.
3. Ability to make timely technical decisions based on data analysis and interpretation.
