WEX is seeking an experienced Salesforce Software Engineer to design and implement scalable business solutions using the Salesforce.com framework, connected applications, and integration solutions. This role involves both solution design and development across WEX, working with stakeholders in an agile environment to enable business capabilities supporting WEX’s growth strategy through native and custom Salesforce development techniques.

How you'll make an impact

1. Configure and develop solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions.
2. Collaborate with internal partners to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including user interfaces, customized applications, and integrations with Salesforce instances.
3. Provide system administration support related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows.
4. Design, develop, and test solutions for projects of moderate to significant complexity.
5. Employ industry best practices to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure compliance with all applicable WEX standards.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the SCRUM team, including pre-sprint technical design and grooming activities.
7. Identify improvements and upgrades to reduce costs, improve stability, and increase performance.
8. Engage with production support staff to remediate chronic and critical production issues.

Experience you'll bring

1. Experience designing and developing enterprise CRM/Salesforce solutions (including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, triggers, workflows, etc.).
2. Experience with web services (SOAP or REST).
3. Strong software architecture, design, and problem-solving skills.
4. Effective communication skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Salesforce Certified Developer and/or Administrator certifications.
6. Experience with tools and processes that promote automated DevOps in a cloud environment.
7. Experience working in highly transactional, e-commerce, or finance-related industries.
8. Experience with advanced Salesforce integration techniques and ETL frameworks.
9. Experience with credit bureau integration.
