Qualificações

Job Description

INTRODUCTION:
This position is responsible for the overall preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close; including assisting with banking activities, compliance with tax and internal controls, and overseeing the quality, quantity and progress of the month end close as it relates to financial statement preparation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. Partner with Finance Leadership Team to implement vision and mission of ABC
2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
3. Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and yearly re-class, adjusting, recurring, and accrual entries
4. Ensure all supporting documentation and backup for entries or accounting decisions is maintained for compliance or internal control requirements
5. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as assigned and provide explanations for balance fluctuations
6. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts as assigned by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling, and resolving discrepancies
7. Maintain accurate records for accounts as assigned including creating and maintaining schedules and booking activity
8. Review and assess accounting treatment of items as assigned and take steps to maintain accurate records
9. Work cross-functionally to resolve accounting discrepancies through knowledge sharing and process improvements
10. Reconcile end-of-month bank statements as assigned
11. Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
12. Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
13. Assist with the annual external audits, completing requested materials and preparing schedules as assigned
14. Perform other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, or CFO

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1. B.S. or B.A. in Accounting
2. 3+ years’ experience in accounting, including General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliation
3. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
5. Professional communication skills
6. Ability to make sound decisions and take calculated risks
7. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
8. Ability to work under pressure with time deadlines
9. Ability to solve problems using deductive reasoning skills in a timely manner

AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE:

1. Workday ERP experience
2. Experience in a multi-entity, global environment doing business in multiple currencies
3. Experience with software-as-a-service industries
4. CPA certification
