Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer in Brazil to design, implement and maintain end-to-end Cypress test suites. You will drive BDD with Cucumber, collaborate with PMs and developers, and create robust REST/GraphQL API tests while planning performance tests with k6.

The role emphasizes test pyramid strategy, shift-left quality and CI/CD integration, with mentoring for junior and mid-level QAs in an Agile environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years focused on test automation.
• Advanced proficiency with Cypress: Page Objects, custom commands, network intercepts, fixtures, tasks and plugin API.
• Strong experience with Cucumber + BDD: reusable step definitions and structured maintenance of feature files.
• Proficiency in REST API testing: validation of status codes, headers, schemas and OAuth/JWT authentication.
• Experience with performance testing using k6: JS scripts, thresholds and metrics such as VUs, RPS and duration.
• Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Good technical communication and ability to collaborate within Agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end test suites with Cypress, focusing on coverage, maintainability and execution performance.
• Drive the implementation of BDD with Cucumber, collaborating on writing Gherkin scenarios with PMs, developers and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain REST/GraphQL API tests, validating contracts, authentication, payloads and edge cases.
• Plan and execute load, stress and soak tests with k6, interpret metrics and report performance bottlenecks.
• Define and evolve the squad's quality strategy (test pyramid, acceptance criteria and a shift-left approach).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or equivalents).
• Serve as a technical reference and provide technical support to junior and mid-level QAs, sharing knowledge on a day-to-day basis.
