Process & Tooling Productivity Product Manager | SAP Application Foundation
The Application Foundation Team owns the mission of improving efficiency across SAP and enabling the Application and Service Teams to deliver value to customers at low cost.
The Application Foundation Productivity team’s mission is to drive measurable improvements in engineering productivity through the harmonization of internal platforms and streamlined processes. This team is focused on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal development teams by improving tools and processes, while adhering to all product standards.
This cross-functional team works across a wide range of domains, including—but not limited to—product standards, security, compliance, cost optimization, and reporting. We manage both internally developed tools and externally adopted platforms, ensuring they are aligned with engineering needs and business goals. Our work spans internal enablement and external product management, supporting the full lifecycle of tools used by engineering teams.
You will join a group responsible for defining, implementing and improving internal KPIs, establishing tooling and rolling out scalable, standardized processes across all of Application Foundation. The team leads initiatives to improve productivity through AI-driven solutions, streamlined execution tracking, and consistent adoption of tools and practices.
What you'll do:
Ability to evaluate, standardize, and support the rollout of internal and third-party tools that enhance developer productivity, ensuring alignment with engineering needs and business goals.
Collaborate with various teams across the organization including engineering, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to define and implement scalable solutions that support product standards and operational excellence.
Design and implement standardized processes across Application Foundation to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability in engineering practices.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering productivity, tool adoption, and process efficiency. Make informed decisions based on data to shape strategy and measure impact.
Lead the exploration and integration of Agentic AI and automation technologies to reduce manual effort, improve execution tracking, and enhance decision-making across engineering teams.
Understand cloud costing as it directly impacts our financial sustainability and strategic growth. The cost of cloud services requires ongoing monitoring, analysis, and forecasting.
What you'll bring:
BA/BS/MA/MS/PhD in a business or a technical field of study from an accredited college or university
Professional experience in a global enterprise software company
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, with a focus on understanding how to implement them in ways that are easy and effective for developers to use.
Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives and facilitating the adoption of new tools and practices.
Strong stakeholder management and effective communication skills including the ability to share and communicate ideas at various levels of the organization including executive staff, business sponsors and other key constituents in clear
Strong people skills, driving, understanding and leading people to successful outcomes
Proven track record of successfully delivering both internal and external-facing features and projects, resulting in measurable outcomes such as increased NPS, user engagement, and business growth.
Excellent English language skills, both oral and written

Understanding of Agentic AI systems and their application in engineering workflows
Ability to identify high-leverage AI use cases to augment/streamline internal repetitive tasks
Understanding of Security standards and experience leading cross-functional security initiatives including vulnerability management
