Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Senior Product Designer, Design Systems to own how client design systems are built. You will extract patterns from brands and reference sites to create tokens, variables, modes, and core components for a scalable build pipeline, ensuring precision from the first pass.

This senior, systems-first role requires delivering across multiple client brands with consistent rigor, fast validation, and close alignment with US business hours while working remotely from Latin

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design system work in your portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants.
• A portfolio where the work looks different from client to client but the underlying rigor remains the same.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming our pipeline can read predictably.
• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different, with the same structural rigor.
