ITTConnect is seeking a Senior Networking Engineer with experience in AWS cloud networking to work remotely for a client in the US. This is a potentially long-term position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the telecom space.

You will help with the design, implementation, and optimization of the client's global network infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in cloud networking architectures, hybrid cloud connectivity, and large-scale network operations. The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives, ensure high availability, security, and performance, and serve as a thought leader in cloud networking best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support hybrid cloud and multi-cloud networking solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments securely and efficiently.
- Design and implement Software-defined networking architecture for distributed applications.
- Make necessary design updates to existing dynamic routing architecture to facilitate migration of services to cloud-based platforms.
- Modify network connectivity and infrastructure for inter-DC, on-premises to cloud, and cloud-to-cloud connections to support greenfield and transitional initiatives, ensuring network requirements for internal and external services accessing cloud platforms are met.
- Lead efforts to deploy complex end-to-end large-scale network architectures.
- Understand current and end-state network architecture goals and recommend improvements and modifications.
- Deploy third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs) for routing and filtering to ensure secure, reliable, and feature-rich connectivity between application tiers in the cloud and on-premises.
- Identify network automation requirements to streamline deployments and improve operational efficiency using platforms such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible.
- Implement security and compliance best practices, including zero-trust architectures within all networking infrastructure and connectivity across data centers, colocation facilities, edge locations, and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance through monitoring, logging, and observability tools like AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, ELK, or Prometheus.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Software Engineering teams to design and maintain scalable, resilient network architectures.
- Evaluate and adopt new networking technologies, staying updated with industry trends and AWS networking advancements.
Required Qualifications :
- 8-10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on complex architectures for large-scale environments.
- Expertise in networking technologies including Routing/Switching, Firewalls, and Load Balancing solutions across multiple vendors.
- Experience with Public Cloud deployments within AWS, including network architecture design.
- Experience in planning and executing network assessments for medium to large environments.
- Practical knowledge of Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), VxLAN, and Data Center Spine-leaf architectures.
- Proficiency in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible.
- Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and cloud interconnects.
- Proficiency in AWS networking services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, ALB/NLB, Route 53, and Global Accelerator.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like AWS CloudWatch, Wireshark, NetFlow, and ThousandEyes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex, high-impact network issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and leading cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications :
- CCIE (Service Provider / Enterprise / Data Center) or equivalent certification.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or equivalent certification.
- Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, GCP) and SDN architectures.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking (CNI plugins, Istio, service mesh).
- Experience with DDoS mitigation and security tools such as AWS Shield, WAF, and NACLs.
