POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Finance leads one or more teams responsible for financial activities including or specific to one or more of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Application, Credit, Collections, and Taxes. They set targets and ensure the team achieves productivity, quality, and service objectives by aligning resources and defining role expectations in order to provide branch financial support and problem resolution. They measure, monitor, and communicate results as well as action plans to drive continuous improvement. The Senior Manager Financial manages performance and supports employee growth and development. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes and performance are aligned with business needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance reporting
Provide external reporting to authorities and encompasses all transactional finance tasks, accounting, and controlling.
Tax management by local rules and regulations.
Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure adequate liquidity
Supervise and develop finance team members, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Solid experience of Financial Reporting/Operations and Accounting
Solid experience of leading and managing teams
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in Portuguese and English
Preferred:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
Experience with Oracle CRM systems
Experience reporting to Corporate Headquarter in a Global Environment
Accounting and credit-related certifications
Experience or knowledge in the Logistics and Transportation industry
Strong ability to partner, consult and influence multiple stakeholder groups
Builds strong relationships with internal and external clients across international regions and cross functional company teams
Ability to effectively implement changes in a large, global organization
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to automate processes
