PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Update PCS (write care plans & review) and carry out weekly/monthly audits.
• Conduct staff appraisals and identify training needs.
• Develop proposals to improve the marketing of the home to maintain high occupancy.

Shift Work: 3-4 days

• Assist clients with personal care needs including bathing, washing, dressing, and undressing.
• Manage your team and oversee the floor.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
• Participate in internal and external activities of the home.
• Attend training courses as scheduled.
• Follow infection control procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Support relatives and friends of clients.
• Maintain client records and perform care audits.
• Attend all required training sessions.
• Coordinate with GPs, care professionals, local authorities, and other clinical entities.
• Administer medications following policy and guidelines.
• Perform any other duties as required.

KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in personal care, reliability, record keeping, and time management.
• Experience as a senior carer in the care sector or hospital environment.
• Clinical knowledge or background.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, or studying towards a management qualification.
