For the company's future growth, we are looking for a Senior Golang Developer to join our team (Location: Costa Rica or a country with a similar time zone +/- 1 hour).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Golang Developer will be part of a team of highly-skilled, forward-thinking software developers working on product development in an agile and collaborative environment. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, learn how these technologies are applied, and have opportunities to mentor team members. You will collaborate extensively with stakeholders and within the development team to achieve ambitious goals. This is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of a fast-growing, global organization during a pivotal time in our company's evolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and implement parts of distributed, event-driven, and reliable microservice architecture.
2. Design and develop NoSQL databases.
3. Develop and maintain integrations with various internal and external applications.
4. Provide support for our applications, working closely with product and account management teams.
5. Work with the Product Owner to translate business requirements into technical designs and help plan Sprints to deliver quality components and products on time.
6. Assist the Product Management team in translating requirements into technical specifications.
7. Participate in research, discussions, and decisions on software architecture, development processes, and standards.
8. Engage actively in our Scrum process: Standups, Refinements, Planning, Retrospectives, Demos.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least 2+ years of experience with Golang.
2. At least 5+ years of experience with one of the following: Golang, C++, C#, or Java.
3. Experience designing and/or implementing distributed systems.
4. Experience with microservice-oriented architecture.
5. Proficiency with Git.
6. Experience with NoSQL databases.
7. Knowledge of UML or similar design languages/methodologies.
8. Strong understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services.
11. Experience working in Windows/Linux environments.
12. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
13. Experience in Agile development methodologies.
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
15. Advanced knowledge of OOP/OOD, Design patterns, and SOLID principles.

DESIRABLE SKILLS (A PLUS)

1. Experience with performance tuning of large-scale platforms.
2. Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, SVN, Jira, Confluence, Docker.
3. Experience with Cassandra, CouchDB, or Couchbase.
4. Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, Redis, JWT, OAuth2.
