Senior Facilities Manager - Healthcare (Kindred East Region) What this job involves:

At JLL, we are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead our healthcare facilities operations for the Kindred East Region. In this strategic role, you will manage hospital facilities and plant operations teams while ensuring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, financial performance, and personnel development. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead and develop hospital facilities and plant operations teams across multiple healthcare locations
  • Ensure all building systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Manage operational facilities budgets and expenditures while delivering exceptional value to our healthcare clients
  • Partner with JLL Strategic Sourcing and Contracts Managers to oversee vendor relationships and contract implementation
  • Create and implement staff training programs related to facility maintenance techniques and regulatory compliance
  • Develop annual performance management frameworks for direct reports in collaboration with HR
  • Provide oversight to Property, Project & Procurement Teams in the delivery of maintenance and project activities
  • Ensure a safe work environment through enforcement of safety and infection control policies
  • Actively participate in hospital-sponsored committee meetings including Infection Control, Safety, Quality, and Emergency Preparedness
  • Track key performance indicators and service level agreements, developing action plans for any below-standard performance
  • Conduct compliance assessments related to Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and other regulatory standards
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Master Services Agreement and related documents governing client relationships
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hospital facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience
  • Demonstrated managerial experience with proven budget and personnel responsibilities
  • Joint Commission/CMS survey experience at the hospital level with knowledge of compliance requirements
  • Fundamental skills in critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS systems, and power distribution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex situations
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to make effective presentations to employees, clients, and management
  • In-depth financial knowledge including budget forecasting and business analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and digital platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school
  • Professional certifications such as CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager), CPMM (Certified Plant Maintenance Manager), or CFM (Certified Facility Manager)
  • Experience with healthcare construction and renovation projects
  • Knowledge of sustainable healthcare facility management practices
  • Experience managing multiple facilities across a regional portfolio
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills with proven ability to motivate teams

Estimated total compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
