WHAT’S NEW WITH APTAR: Job Description
As part of the Global Engineering Support team, the Senior Engineer Industrialization will drive the implementation of industrial strategy through the promotion of industrial standards and blueprints across Closures’ sites in LATAM. Recognized as a key subject matter expert, the Senior Engineer Industrialization will support the sites in managing all industrialization projects such as revamping, production line relocation, and capacity increase for existing products. The role will support technological innovation, create and animate a network among site engineering teams, optimize manufacturing processes, and actively support strategic projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a safety culture in Engineering and Industrialization activities, beyond legal requirements (UL/CE regulatory).
- Contribute to the design and deployment of an appropriate Industrial Strategy.
- Actively support site engineering and participate in key engineering and industrial projects, including technology transfer.
- Promote technological innovation, such as new technologies and supplier scouting, testing new technologies, and exploring I4.0 initiatives.
- Support Capex optimization.
- Participate in teamwork and networking within the region: share best practices for technologies and support high-level problem solving.
- Contribute to high-level cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.
Locations:
- LATAM: Brazil (Maringa), Mexico (Queretaro), or any other country in the region where Aptar has a legal entity, e.g., Argentina, Colombia. Remote office possible. Availability to travel regularly to support projects on-site and visit suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in industrialization/engineering for assembly/automation in high productivity plastic industries (packaging, healthcare, consumer goods, electronics, etc.). A complementary competence in molding processes would be highly appreciated.
- Fluent in English. A second language, such as Portuguese if Spanish is the mother tongue, would be an advantage.
- Project management skills with a track record of handling complex projects.
- Results-oriented and structured way of working.
- Ability to adapt to multi-cultural organizations and teams.
- Proven management, communication, and technical capabilities.
- Ability to adapt and manage effectively in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally (customers, suppliers, stakeholders, networking).
