Emthos Engenharia in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, seeks a professional to work on Renewable Energies and Energy Transition projects, including decarbonization, hydrogen, and CCUS. The role covers early project phases, studies, and technical documentation within a hybrid work setup at EDISEN – Rio de Janeiro Center.

The candidate will develop technology roadmaps, assess risks, evaluate suppliers, and contribute to contract management while supporting process improvements and lessons learned.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, energy, process engineering or similar fields.
• Specialization in Renewable Energy and/or Sustainability (ESG) and/or Oil and Gas is desirable.
• Specialization and/or certification in Project Management is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Work in the initial phases of projects – Opportunity Assessment, Alternative and Technology Selection, Conceptual Design.
• Prepare studies, reports, and other technical documents.
• Prepare a Technical and Economic Feasibility Study (EVTE).
• Develop retrofit/modernization studies for industrial projects.
• Evaluation of proprietary technologies.
• Support for project planning (studying scope and technical documentation and estimating man-hours).
• Development of a technology roadmap (identification of best available technologies – BAT).
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
• Estimating indicators such as IGEE, HHER, and NPV.
• Conducting technical meetings.
• To assist in the technical evaluation of suppliers.
• To support the supplier selection process and contract management.
• Study lessons learned and propose improvements.
• To support process mapping and improvement.

Regarding the area of Renewable Energies

The professional will work in the engineering field, on projects related to Energy Transition and Renewable Energies (decarbonization, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCUS)).

Main responsibilities:

• To work in the initial phases of projects – Opportunity Assessment, Alternative and Technology Selection, Conceptual Design;
• Prepare studies, reports, and other technical documents;
• Prepare a Technical and Economic Feasibility Study (EVTE) ;
• Develop retrofit/modernization studies for industrial projects;
• Evaluation of proprietary technologies;

  • IGEE – Greenhouse Gas Inventory
  • HHER – Man-Hour Exposed to Risk

• To support process mapping and improvement;

Training and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, energy, process engineering or similar fields;
