A leading company is seeking a Data Architect to design and develop IT architecture solutions. The role involves complex technical planning, architecture development, and mentoring developers. Candidates should have experience in data technologies and insurance domains, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Team Function:
Designs and develops Data/Domain IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data, and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture direction and standards. Requires in-depth logical and practical knowledge in Data Architecture and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Role Description:
Utilizes in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in Domain Architecture and basic knowledge of related job disciplines to perform complex technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for Domain solution delivery.
Solves complex problems and partners effectively to execute broad, continuous Domain level architecture improvement roadmaps that impact the organization.
Works independently, receives minimal guidance, and influences Enterprise and System architecture through Domain level knowledge. Reviews high-level design to ensure alignment with Solution Architecture.
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Mentors developers and creates reference implementations/frameworks. Partners with System Architects to elaborate capabilities and features.
Delivers single domain architecture solutions and executes continuous domain level architecture improvement roadmaps. Supports design and steering of a continuous delivery pipeline. Plans Architecture runway for full solutions and fosters built-in quality for entire solutions. Establishes and supports the definition of Non-Functional requirements.
Requirements:
Data & Analytics Technologies experience
• Hands-on experience in building data assets on Snowflake, RedShift, Databricks, etc.
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure (data and analytics focused) such as AWS (Athena, EMR, Glue, S3), Azure (Azure Data Fabric, Power BI), and GCP (BigQuery).
• Experience in Integration technologies such as Informatica, Matillion, FiveTran, AWS Glue, etc.
• Experience in Reporting technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Knowledge of Data Governance tools and Master Data Management solutions.
Architecture Experience
• Ability to articulate various Data Architecture styles such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Medallion Architecture, etc.
• Experience in creating strategy, vision, roadmap, reference architecture, and patterns for business/technical capabilities.
• Experience in performing technology evaluations and recommending tools.
• Experience in evaluating vendor products to ensure alignment with company requirements.
• Experience in developing Data Architecture guidelines and gaining alignment on solutions.
• Ability to influence others with data points.
Insurance Domain Experience
• Strong understanding of Insurance domains such as Underwriting (Policy), Claims processing, Services Operations, etc.
• Knowledge of legal and compliance regulations specific to Insurance.
• Experience in building end-to-end data pipelines for insurance domains such as Product, Claims, Billing, Finance, and Distribution.
