Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to play a key role in managing, optimizing, and evolving our data infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals, Snowflake performance tuning, and SQL optimization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ETL from AWS Postgres to Snowflake, as well as strong skills in data modeling, monitoring, automation (Python), and orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt.

This project has a 3-month duration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ETL pipelines from AWS Postgres databases to the Snowflake data warehouse.
• Audit and optimize SQL queries, PostgreSQL internals, and Snowflake performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, and Python scripting.
• Support data modeling, schema design, and orchestration with platforms such as Airflow and dbt.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience with ETL processes from AWS Postgres to Snowflake.
• Strong ability to audit and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals (indexes, query planner, VACUUM, etc.).
• Expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and warehouse management.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Skills in data modeling and schema design.
• Proficiency in Python or scripting for workflow automation.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt.
