EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to contribute to a Google Cloud Platform-based data platform project. The role centers on developing and sustaining data pipelines and analytics infrastructure for reporting and analytics across the organization.

You will design and maintain pipelines with Dataflow, optimize BigQuery queries, and build Looker-based dashboards while applying data governance and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualificações

• 3+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Understanding of GCP-based data platform architecture.
• Proficiency in BigQuery schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Dataflow for batch and/or streaming pipelines.
• Familiarity with Looker or equivalent BI tooling.
• SQL and data engineering fundamentals (ETL/ELT, data modeling).
• Fluent Portuguese; English at B2 level for collaboration.

Responsabilidades

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to contribute to a GCP-based data platform project. The position centers on developing and sustaining data pipelines and analytics infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform, helping shape a scalable and dependable data ecosystem that drives reporting and analytics throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines leveraging Dataflow on GCP
• Develop and fine-tune data models and queries within BigQuery
• Create and maintain reporting and analytics layers with Looker (or comparable BI tooling)
• Contribute to the architecture and progression of the wider GCP Data Platform
• Apply data governance standards, covering access controls, data quality, lineage, and documentation across pipelines and datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert data requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Monitor and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance and reliability

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
• Understanding of GCP-based data platform architecture
• Proficiency in BigQuery, covering schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Expertise in Dataflow for developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines
• Familiarity with Looker or equivalent BI/analytics tooling
• Skills in SQL and knowledge of data engineering fundamentals (ETL/ELT, data modeling)
• Fluent Portuguese speaker with English at B2 level for team collaboration

Nice to have

• Background in data governance approaches, encompassing access management, data cataloging, and lineage
• Familiarity with compliance factors relevant to data platforms
