Specialized is seeking a motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Team. This role will be responsible for turning business analytics requirements into optimized data pipelines and expanding our data warehouse.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, improve data models, and support analytics across the organization using AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, and Tableau.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, statistics, math, science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Ability to work with unstructured data.
• Understanding of statistical data analysis, modeling, and machine learning.
• Proficiency with Tableau or Power BI for visualization.
• Experience with modern cloud-based data stacks (AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, Tableau).

Senior Data Engineer Summary At Specialized, data is essential in modernizing our business. From delivering best-in-class physical product to developing a world-class rider experience, data engineers at Specialized build data pipelines that efficiently and reliably move data across systems to power this modernization. Specialized is seeking a motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Team. This role, reporting to the Data and Analytics Team, will be responsible for understanding business analytics needs and requirements and then turning those requirements into optimized and highly available data pipelines to be used throughout the business to facilitate deeper analysis and reporting.

The role will focus on expanding our data warehouse and data pipelines through use of our ELT stack. To be successful in this role, applicants must be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and learning on the job. Data engineering experience and strong communication skills are a must. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of cloud-based best-of-breed technologies and help accelerate the growth of analytics at a leading brand in the outdoor industry.

Essential Skills

• Highly organized, ability to stay on track and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities
• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing reliable and scalable ELT/ETL pipelines from the ground up and maintaining/supporting existing systems
• Empower technical and non-technical internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting through written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with enterprise level RDBMS and an expert in SQL
• Understanding of data models and data warehouse concepts
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python/R)
• Demonstrated passion for analyzing and understanding complex data sets

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, statistics, mathematics, science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
• Ability to work with unstructured data
• Understanding of statistical data analysis, modeling, and machine learning
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Previous experience with modern public cloud-based data stack, including AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, Tableau
• Data architecture experience a plus
