We are looking for a Senior Data DevOps Engineer to join our remote team.

You will be responsible for implementing a fully automated CI/CD process for the delivery of data processing, collaborating with cross-functional teams and establishing best practices. As a Senior Data DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure, working with Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, and Docker. If you are passionate about DevOps and have an excellent understanding of data processing, we invite you to be part of our team.

Responsibilities

• Implement a fully automated CICD process for the delivery of data processing from scratch, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Set up test environments and ensure monitoring and alerting systems for the relevant environments
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues
• Collaborate with the DevOps community to establish standards and best practices for data processing and management
• Set up monitoring from scratch, including metrics, logs, and traces, to ensure the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure
• Contribute to the development of infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring automation and best practices are implemented
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
  
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on data processing and management
• In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, showcasing your expertise in data processing and management
• Proficiency in Terraform, enabling you to implement infrastructure as code and establish best practices for automation
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture, demonstrating your ability to build and maintain scalable and reliable systems
• Experience in setting up a fully automated CICD process, using Jenkins, GitLab, or other preferred tools
• Good understanding of monitoring and alerting systems, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
