Join Our Team as a Senior Buyer at OPW

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team at OPW. The role involves procuring products, parts, supplies, and services, negotiating with vendors, establishing purchase agreements, and supporting new product development activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with knowledge of Lean principles and strong communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Negotiate with vendors to optimize pricing, quality, and lead times.
2. Establish purchase agreements for production parts.
3. Lead supplier selection during product development.
4. Coordinate communications with R&D and engineering teams.
5. Manage supplier evaluations, audits, and visits.
6. Ensure quality and on-time delivery of purchased items.
7. Identify sourcing opportunities and cost savings.
8. Collaborate with sourcing teams on new suppliers and pricing trends.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Materials Management, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Office suite is a plus.

**Physical Demands:**

Work involves normal office conditions and manufacturing environment, with occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
