As a Senior Business Development Representative, you will work with all levels of the PPG and customer organization with the objective of developing new and growing existing accounts for the sales of PPG's General Finishes to the customer and end-user. We beautify and protect the world with our Industrial Coatings.

This position is remote, requiring travel to current and prospective customers, and will be responsible for business development throughout the US. You will report to the Sales Segment Manager.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify a plan to grow PPG sales by developing new customers.
  2. Interface with multiple customer personnel to promote PPG, gain approvals, and position PPG for new business.
  3. Communicate customer needs to PPG functions and regions.
  4. Match customer needs to PPG products and specifications.
  5. Mobilize PPG resources to support customer factories during the launch process.
  6. Understand PPG's product portfolio and benefits to ensure value selling.
  7. Advise customers and end-users on PPG technical specifications and application of industrial coatings.
  8. Understand the competitive landscape, current gaps, and anticipate future gaps to improve PPG's market position.
  9. Travel to customers and participate in industry conferences.
Qualifications:
  1. BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or similar; or an equivalent combination of experience, training, skills, and industry knowledge.
  2. 5+ years of experience in B2B business development.
  3. Previous experience in the coatings industry is desirable.
  4. Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
  5. Strong collaborative skills, able to communicate complex ideas across cultural and educational boundaries.
  6. Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically, with potential for some international travel.
