Senior Business Development Manager – Brazil

Salary: Up to 4,61,004 Brazilian Reais (including variable)

Hiring for a Senior Business Development Manager – Brazil for one of the fastest growing specialty chemicals manufacturing providers.

Company description:

Our client is a fast-growing specialty chemicals provider offering end-to-end solutions from R&D to commercial manufacturing. Their B2B platform supports industries like pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, personal care, and home care with custom synthesis, route scouting, and contract manufacturing. With an extensive global supply network and regulatory-compliant production facilities, they ensure seamless sourcing and delivery. Currently exporting to 13+ countries, they are expanding into Brazil to establish strong local partnerships and enhance their presence in the specialty chemicals sector, bringing innovative, high-quality solutions to businesses looking for reliable and scalable chemical manufacturing capabilities.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Drive the company's market presence and spearhead its growth strategy in the Brazil market, establishing a strong foothold and unlocking new business opportunities.
  • Take full ownership of P&L management while driving and optimizing the order book pipeline, long-term strategy, annual plans, and year-over-year growth.
  • Ensure sustained profitability through strategic planning and execution.
  • Prepare and maintain a list of customers in market segments and select key target accounts for sales/market actions.
  • Key account management for increasing the business volume.
  • Liaise with clients for their requirements, analyze their requirements, and develop order strategy.
  • Review, discuss, correct, and put up competitive technical and commercial quotations.
  • Communicate with suppliers to assess their capabilities, analyze their potential, and develop a sourcing strategy.
  • Gather intelligence on competitor activity and calibrate strategy accordingly.
  • Build company profile and brand image in the market through customer visits, presentations, exhibitions, tradeshows, and business meets.
  • Recommend policy initiatives, new product/partnership arrangements & innovative approaches keeping in mind the market opportunities, practices & competition to strengthen company leadership position.

Candidate requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in business development/sales in the specialty chemicals sector.
  • Strong expertise in P&L management, key account handling, and commercial negotiations.
  • A deep understanding of the Brazil specialty chemicals market and supply chain dynamics.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, revenue growth, and strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
