Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to design and implement end-to-end BI solutions, from data pipelines to dashboards. The role emphasizes strength in Python, data modeling, and Power BI, delivering accurate KPIs and semantic layer insights across the organization.

You will build robust ETL/ELT workflows, optimize data models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This remote role offers flexible hours and a global, diverse team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT, including Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
• Data modeling experience with Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI; strong DAX skills for complex measures and KPIs.
• Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server or similar platforms.
• CI/CD for BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Background building data quality and validation frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the full BI lifecycle from data pipelines to dashboards.
• Design and maintain semantic layers and data models.

Senior BI Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll build ETL/ELT pipelines in Python that feed well-structured data models, powering the semantic layer behind meaningful business intelligence. Working across data modeling and Power BI, you'll ensure that KPIs and metrics reflect the underlying data accurately, from pipeline to dashboard. What You'll Do
