Jobtailor is seeking a senior BI professional in Brazil to design and optimize data models using Power BI and SSAS/Azure Analysis Services. You will implement Row-Level Security, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and guide teams on best practices for data governance and modeling.

The role involves collaborating with data engineers and business units to modernize the data platform within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

• Design and optimize complex data models using Power BI and Analysis Services (SSAS / Azure Analysis Services), ensuring scalability and high performance;
• Ensure data governance and security within BI tools through advanced, structured implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS) rules;
• Build and optimize efficient data pipelines using ETL and ELT approaches to ensure data quality, flow, and consistency;
• Share technical knowledge, data architecture standards, and development best practices (such as DAX optimization and modeling best practices) with related teams;
• Work within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse), supporting the evolution and modernization of the company’s data platform;
• Perform reverse engineering and continuous improvement on legacy BI solutions, focusing on efficiency gains, SQL query tuning, and reduced processing time;
• Collaborate actively with data engineers and business teams to understand complex requirements and enable smooth data integration between systems.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven senior-level experience in Business Intelligence with a focus on both execution and technical architecture;
• Strong expertise and hands-on experience with Power BI and Analysis Services (SSAS or Azure Analysis Services);
• Extensive practical experience implementing and managing Row-Level Security (RLS);
• Advanced command of ETL and ELT processes and data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake);
• Practical experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem;
• Advanced SQL skills for manipulating, extracting, and optimizing large volumes of data;
• Collaborative profile with initiative to share knowledge and train users on the tools;
• English proficiency for reading and writing technical documentation.
• Preferred: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., DP-600, PL-300); experience with data architecture in Azure cloud environments; BI experience focused on business areas such as sales, finance, or marketing.
