Senior Backend Engineer (Php/Laravel)

Position Overview :

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions to support the company's mission and goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain innovative applications and platforms that drive business success and improve patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Platform Development : Spearhead the development and optimization of our EHR platform using PHP / Laravel , ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Database Development : Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• API Development and Integration : Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.
• Security Compliance : Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols.

Additional Responsibilities :

• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
• Stay abreast of new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.
• Participate in the agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Technical Expertise : Strong proficiency in PHP / Laravel and MySQL. Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
• Experience : At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications. Experience in the healthcare sector or EHR platforms is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to tackle complex problems, think analytically, and develop innovative solutions.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail : A strong focus on code quality, adherence to design specifications, and a commitment to creating a user-friendly, secure, and efficient platform.
