As a member of the Backend Engineering Global team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and integration of applications. This role focuses on developing robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and ensuring smooth integration within internal and external services. The engineer will work closely with front-end developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage industry and organizational standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices to support day-to-day operations that enable the fulfillment of business strategies.
• Create, govern, and continuously improve automation frameworks and scripts for company-wide solutions impacting multiple zones.
• Provide direct technical design and delivery support for top priority initiatives while governing, influencing, and approving all other initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and drive the usage of a repository for technical design artifacts across the entire ABI Solutions community.
• Provide support and guidance across the company on technical design and standards.
• Ensure that delivered solutions are aligned to enterprise standards (Architecture, Operations, and Infrastructure) and of high quality while maintaining non-functional attributes such as performance, supportability, security, usability, and reliability.
• Prototype new solutions to test and confirm technical designs of new products and ideas.

Skills and qualifications:

• Strong experience with Integration / Backend Technologies and scripting languages.
• Experience working in teams to develop and support production-quality tools and services for internal teams (engineer, data, etc.), including database management, system monitoring, secrets management, and more.
• Service-oriented architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Apache Camel.
• Proficiency with Python frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with DevOps delivery pipelines, source code management, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog or Open Telemetry solutions.
