As a member of the Backend Engineering Global team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic and application integration. This role focuses on creating robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and ensuring smooth integration with internal and external services. The engineer will collaborate closely with front-end developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities :

1. Leverage industry and organizational standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices to support daily operations that enable the fulfillment of business strategies.
2. Create, govern, and improve automation frameworks and scripts for company-wide solutions impacting multiple zones.
3. Provide technical design and delivery support for top priority initiatives, while governing and influencing other initiatives.
4. Maintain a repository for technical design artifacts across the ABI Solutions community.
5. Offer support and guidance across the company on technical design and standards.
6. Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards (Architecture, Operations, Infrastructure) and meet quality attributes like performance, security, usability, and reliability.
7. Prototype new solutions to test and validate technical designs for new products and ideas.

Skills and qualifications :

1. Strong experience with Integration / Backend Technologies and scripting languages.
2. Experience in developing and supporting production-quality tools and services for internal teams, including database management, system monitoring, and secrets management.
3. Knowledge of Service-oriented architecture.
4. Proficiency in Java, Spring, Webservices.
5. Experience with MuleSoft.
6. Familiarity with Python frameworks and libraries.
7. Object-oriented programming skills.
8. Experience with DevOps delivery pipelines and source code management.
9. Knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Delivery/Integration methodologies.
10. Proficiency in English.
11. Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Open Telemetry solutions.
12. Experience with SAP Integration solutions.
