As a member of the Backend Engineering Global team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic and application integration. This role emphasizes developing robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and ensuring seamless integration with internal and external services. The engineer will collaborate closely with front-end developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities :

1. Leverage industry and organizational standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices to support daily operations, enabling business strategies.
2. Create, govern, and improve automation frameworks and scripts for company-wide solutions impacting multiple zones.
3. Provide technical design and delivery support for top-priority initiatives, while governing and influencing other projects.
4. Maintain a repository for technical design artifacts across the ABI Solutions community.
5. Offer support and guidance on technical design and standards across the company.
6. Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards (Architecture, Operations, Infrastructure) and maintain high quality, including performance, security, usability, and reliability.
7. Prototype new solutions to validate technical designs for new products and ideas.

Skills and qualifications :

1. Strong experience with Integration and Backend Technologies, including scripting languages.
2. Experience developing and supporting production-quality tools and services for internal teams (engineers, data teams, etc.), including database management, system monitoring, and secrets management.
3. Knowledge of Service-oriented architecture.
4. Proficiency in Java, Spring, Webservices.
5. Experience with MuleSoft.
6. Knowledge of Python frameworks and libraries.
7. Object-oriented programming skills.
8. Experience with DevOps delivery pipelines and source code management.
9. Familiarity with DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and integration tools and methodologies.
10. Proficiency in English (advanced level).
11. Experience with Datadog or other observability/Open Telemetry solutions.
12. Experience with SAP Integration solutions.
