Ciklum is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer in Brazil to lead test automation across front and back end, ensuring high-quality data platforms and scalable test coverage.

You will work with engineers, product managers, data engineers and tech managers to implement testing tools and techniques, driving quality ownership across teams and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualificações

• BS degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of SDET or development experience with C#/Python/Go.
• Familiarity with OOP concepts.
• Experience on Windows and Linux.
• Cloud platforms knowledge (Azure/AWS/Google).
• Coding to create automated test frameworks and maintain them.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter/Locust/Gatling/K6).
• Experience with relational DBs (SQL Server/MySQL/Postgres/Oracle/Maria).
• Experience with data streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Git and CI/CD workflows knowledge.
• Root Cause Analysis and SLA/Incident management experience.
• QA methodologies: functional, performance, regression, black/white-box.

About the role:

As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow.

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for leading our efforts in combining sound development practices, leveraging proven testing techniques and technologies, testing and ensuring the accuracy of key data platforms, and collaborating to deliver solutions to fill gaps in ourmission to deliver high quality products with continuously improving efficiency.

In this role, the SDET will be working with our teams including Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, Data Engineers and Technical Managers to ensure that the quality of our development and products are released on time with solid test automation coverage. This candidate will be responsible for recommending, improving and implementing testing tools, techniques and technologies for our platforms. This candidate will drive adoption and distribute ownership of quality across the teams for maximum efficiency. Success looks like everyone on the team contributing meaningfully to a practical part of the quality process. Our team runs millions of automated tests every year, most of which are fully integrated into our deployment pipelines. We are looking for a champion of quality that can work alongside other quality
enthusiasts at client to continuously improve our testing efficiency while maintaining our bar of quality to the levels our customers demand and deserve

Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex analysis on the company’s front and backend systems
• Monitor product quality by designing and deploying automated testing at scale
• Develop and execute automated test cases for software applications to ensure the reliability of service pipelines
• Perform integration testing between multiple independent systems and interfaces (flat files, APIs, Database) etc.
• Partner with engineering teams to review system requirements and technical design documents and ensure new features are developed using automation in mind
• Evaluate existing data test automation frameworks and scripts, and drive any necessary changes
• Recommend, augment and implement usage of proven automation tools, technologies and techniques to solve data testing specific problems
• Elevate the quality of our releases by helping maintain automated tests integrated into our CI/CD pipelines
• Distribute ownership of quality across the team and provide tools and support for smooth adoption
• Enable short and direct feedback loops on the quality of every code submission
• Staying up to date with process, tools, technologies, techniques and solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience in a similar field
• A minimum of 4+ years of SDET experience (or development experience) using C#, Python or Go programming languages
• Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Working experience with Windows and Linux systems
• Working knowledge with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Computing Services
• Writing code to create automated test frameworks, and establishing, monitoring, and maintaining them
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust, Gatling, K6)
• Experience in identifying potential quality issues in data collection, storage, processing
• Experience with Relational Databases (i.e. SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Maria)
• Experience with the use of streaming platforms (ie. Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub)
• Experience using version control systems such as Git and a solid understanding of Git workflows
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery platforms (Azure DevOps, jenkins, circleci, gitlab, codefresh, rundeck)
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and SLA/Incident management
• Working experience with Data Pipeline parsing/debugging
• Knowledge of QA methodologies including functional, performance, regression, black-box, and white-box testing
