Description

We are seeking a driven and inventive Senior IaC and Automation Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. This team architects, implements, and supports global hybrid compute and storage services for our development and production environments. As a Senior IaC Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation processes using modern DevOps practices and tools. You will support the management of infrastructure that underpins our high-performance SaaS trading platform and automate the delivery of infrastructure services. Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams is essential to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability across our technology stack. An ideal candidate is passionate about technology, automation, and innovation, with strong technical knowledge of the entire infrastructure stack.

What Will You Be Involved With?

1. Designing and implementing infrastructure automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Chef for cloud-based and on-premises environments.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, develop architecture designs, and implement scalable solutions for seamless software transition from development to production.
3. Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automating software deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
4. Conducting code reviews, testing, and maintaining documentation to ensure reliable and repeatable infrastructure deployments.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure automation issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
6. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to improve platform stability and site reliability.
7. Mentoring peers and providing technical guidance on infrastructure automation and DevOps best practices.
8. Designing automation improvements supporting large-scale Linux, Windows, SAN storage, and virtualization environments (e.g., Nutanix, VMware).
9. Enhancing provisioning and automation via scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and centralized management tools (e.g., Chef).

What Will You Bring to the Table?

1. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
3. Proven experience (5+ years) as an Infrastructure or DevOps Engineer focusing on infrastructure automation and IaC.
4. Expertise with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, managing cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
5. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell for automation tasks.
6. Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with proactive system monitoring and performance tuning.
8. Experience managing Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows systems; virtualization experience with Nutanix, VMware is a plus.
9. Ability to work on-call or weekends as needed.
