Jobtailor seeks a capable Graphic Editor to lead editorial design and production across publications. You will develop visuals, templates, and standard formats while ensuring consistency and technical compliance. Collaboration with editorial and design teams is essential.

The role requires strong InDesign skills, knowledge of print production, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a focus on delivering high-quality editorial materials.

• Develop graphic, visual composition, and editorial design projects for original materials based on a brief.
• Establish editorial standards and create customized materials, openers, templates, mastheads, and barcodes for publications.
• Analyze, design, and contribute to the development of page content, ensuring visual appeal and consistency across materials.
• Implement corrections identified by proofreaders, pedagogical analysts, and authors, while supporting the development of the design team.
• Create and ensure images and illustrations comply with the technical standards of the graphic project.
• Develop and apply equations and fractions according to the technical standards of each subject area.
• Ensure there are no outstanding iconographic, educational technology, or pedagogical issues during production.
• Produce and deliver workshops and training sessions, foster collaboration between departments, and provide support to the editorial production team.
• Analyze files, make technical adjustments, implement revisions, and review the production checklist.
• Organize files and release PDFs to the printer, ensuring the correct graphic profile and file-naming conventions.
• Release digital materials on the platform, edit content in interactive HTML environments, and generate interactive PDFs (eBooks).
• Check the quality and functionality of interactivity in digital resources and add banners/watermarks in accordance with distribution guidelines.
• Complete editorial page-tracking spreadsheets and create and update editorial manuals and production checklists.
• Employment under Brazil’s CLT labor regime, hybrid work arrangement, 44 hours per week: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Editorial Production, or a related field.
• Knowledge of art direction.
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge).
• Advanced proficiency in InDesign.
• Knowledge of MathType, image editing, and basic vector creation.
• Knowledge of print production.
• Familiarity with internet tools.
• Knowledge of the publishing industry.
