Position overview

Position overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Android Developer passionate about building impactful healthcare applications. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in collaborative, team-driven environments and are motivated to design intuitive, user-friendly mobile experiences that improve patient and provider engagement.
Candidates should have at least a 3-hour overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST) to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications for healthcare solutions
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Android best practices
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and responsiveness
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to building a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Android development
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with solid understanding of Android SDK and development tools
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries integration
  • Familiarity with modern Android architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and Jetpack components
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment
  • Availability to overlap at least 3 hours daily with Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Nice to have
  • Experience in healthcare or related regulated industries
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Knowledge of Firebase, Google Cloud, or other cloud services
  • Contribution to open-source Android projects or community involvement
