In this role, you will help us guarantee the safety and standards of our applications and networks. We are seeking a creative, agile, goal-driven Security Engineer who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced global company. Collaborating closely with engineering squads across product and platform engineering, you will ensure our applications are both safe and compliant with internal requirements, maintaining and improving our defensive security program.

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

LOCATION: Anywhere in Brazil - Remote

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

1. Implement controls and secure company’s information systems by developing, testing and reviewing identity requirements
2. Architect, build, test, deploy, and monitor IAM systems
3. Understand critical flows and identify best monitoring tactics
4. Build security plans, coordinate among involved people and execute
5. Document operational procedures and protocols regarding security
6. Maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans and train staff on security procedures
7. Analyze, identify, propose and implement security controls, alerts and processes
8. Generate security reports whenever needed
9. Improve our cloud security posture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 3+ years of experience in Blue team / Defensive security
2. Fluently communicating in English and being comfortable talking to native English speakers on a daily basis
3. Managing AWS IAM, finding vulnerabilities in the permissions set and fixing them with AWS SSO
4. Working with different security standards from CIS, NIST and OWASP
5. Automating tasks to scale security tests
6. Working with logs, metrics, monitoring and analytics
7. Securing cloud environments
8. Implementing security controls, correlating events and generating reports
9. With automation and provisioners like Terraform, Ansible or Chef
10. Automating tasks with scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash
