We are seeking a creative, agile, goal-driven Security Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will help us ensure the safety and standards of our applications and networks by collaborating closely with engineering squads across product and platform engineering. Your focus will be on maintaining and improving our vulnerability management program, ensuring our applications are secure and compliant with internal requirements.

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

LOCATION: Remotely from anywhere in Brazil

WORKING HOURS: Part-time

PERIOD: 12 months project (with potential for extension)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Assist in managing our Vulnerability Management program
2. Maintain our security pipeline to secure the Software Development Life Cycle
3. Support security testing (e.g., pentesting) and assessments on systems, infrastructure, products, and applications
4. Collaborate with the Blue Team to improve monitoring and alerting rules
5. Test and recommend mitigations for security vulnerabilities
6. Coordinate with different teams to prioritize actions and reduce risks
7. Develop automation tooling for assessments and validations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of experience in Application Security or Vulnerability Management
• Proficiency in English communication, comfortable speaking with native speakers daily
• Knowledge of security tools and Vulnerability Management programs
• Understanding of vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
• Experience with methodologies and standards such as CIS, NIST, Mitre ATT&CK, and OWASP (Top 10, API, Mobile, WSTG, MSTG, ASVS, MASVS)
• Ability to automate security testing tasks
