About the team

The AI Security team is part of the Information Security area. The team focuses on securing our AI ecosystem, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, ensuring data protection and ethical standards in its implementation and usage. For that, we perform many tasks such as performing security assessments on implementations focusing on AI usage, creating frameworks to keep it secure and developing tools and automations to safeguard the information and decisions.

About the role

The role is for a Security Engineer to work closely with the team to enhance the security and robustness of our AI ecosystem. Your role will involve conducting adversarial testing, assessing vulnerabilities in machine learning models and Generative AI applications, and contributing to the development and implementation of security frameworks, assess and develop possible controls in our AI ecosystem. This position requires a mix of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to ensure the continued safety of our AI technologies.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team in conducting adversarial testing and security assessments on machine learning models, including Generative AI applications;
• Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, providing insights and recommendations for mitigation;
• Contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge security frameworks, ensuring the responsible and secure usage within our AI ecosystem;
• Work closely with development teams to integrate security measures into the AI development lifecycle;
• Assist in incident response planning specific to AI-related security incidents and participate in simulations to test response effectiveness;
• Develop and integrate tools to automate security assessments and controls;
• Proactively seek knowledge and engage in research and development initiatives to support innovation;
• Raise Nubank awareness towards safe AI usage.

Must Have

• Experience in offensive security, with a focus on adversarial testing;
• Knowledge of security frameworks, such as OWASP;
• Programming skills in languages commonly used in machine learning (e.g., Python) and experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow);
• Proactive mindset with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential security risks;
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Expertise with automation programming languages (e.g. Bash, Ansible, Go);
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g. AWS, K8S, Terraform);
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and Generative AI concepts and technologies (e.g. HuggingFaces, MCP).
