Norsk Hydro’s Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) SAP team seeks a Senior Specialist PP/QM for S4 Hana to optimize and maintain our SAP landscape. You will troubleshoot, support, and lead system upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors in a manufacturing environment.

We value English proficiency and a IT/Business background to drive continuous improvement and effective change management in SAP environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in SAP PP/QM with ECC6/S4 Hana.

Join our dynamic SAP support team as a SAP Senior Specialist PP/QM for S4 Hana, where you will play a key role in optimizing and maintaining our SAP landscape. As a seasoned professional, you'll leverage your expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of SAP systems, troubleshoot issues, resolving tickets promptly, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing

• Provide expert guidance in SAP solutions, focusing on support and maintenance, taking ownership of ticket resolution and troubleshooting complex issues efficiently;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business users and third-party vendors to resolve SAP-related incidents, problems and change requests;
• Perform system analysis, design and enhancements to meet business requirements, including diverse interfaces and integration points;
• Conduct regular system audits and implement preventive measures to enhance system stability and optimize business operations using SAP best practices;
• Lead SAP system upgrades, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting and maintaining the clean core initiative;
• Develop and maintain documentation for SAP configurations, processes and procedures, with emphasis on manufacturing processes and integration points.

Education

• IT/ Business Degree or Equivalent

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a comparable role within SAP (ECC6 / S4 Hana) with hands‑on application management;

Proven track record of extensive and senior‑level experience in SAP, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of PP and QM modules, with a history of delivering high‑impact solutions in a senior capacity;

Strong candidates will have knowledge and experience with three or more of the following SAP areas: materials management, procurement, inventory warehouse management, sales operations, logistics, finance and controlling;

Strong continuous improvement, problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues;

Integration experience integrating SAP with different business systems, especially MES systems, as well as experience working with integration tools;

Experience in a discrete manufacturing and/or automotive environment is preferred.

Skills

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams;

Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes related to the business application(s) concerned;

Understanding of the technical environment of the business application(s) concerned;

Advanced English (verbal and written);

Knowledge of basic project management and change management procedures within IT.
