Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Objects Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying Business Objects reports, building BO universes, and creating meaningful data visualizations. This role requires strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data warehousing principles, with experience in using Azure Databricks as a data source.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop and maintain Business Objects universes, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

•Set up BO objects, including dimensions, measures, and hierarchies, to support reporting needs.

•Design and implement calculations, logic, and relationships within BO universes.

•Create and develop Business Objects reports, connecting to universes and ensuring accurate data representation.

•Design and implement various visualizations, including charts, graphs, and tables, to enhance report effectiveness.

•Develop filters and drill-down functionalities to provide users with interactive reporting options.

•Deploy Business Objects reports to the BO server, ensuring seamless access for end-users.

•Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide reporting solutions that meet business needs.

•Maintain documentation for developed universes, reports, and processes.

•Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to Business Objects and data visualization.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•Proven experience in Business Objects development, including universe design and report creation.

•Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.

•Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

•Experience using Azure Databricks as a data source for reporting and analytics.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with BI tools and technologies beyond Business Objects.
