KANEMATSU AMÉRICA DO SUL is seeking a Salesperson responsible for Commercial & Sales activities (such as negotiation with suppliers, document control, cargo readiness, visitor management) and new business development (including business intelligence, prospecting, new product ideas, and innovative business schemes) for the Meat division.
Main responsibilities
- Identify potential meat-packing suppliers for current and upcoming products through communication channels like calls, emails, and site visits, focusing on new business development with a proactive 'hunter' approach.
- Collaborate with Kanematsu Japan to identify and present new export opportunities in the meat-packing sector.
- Conduct research to generate and assess new project ideas and initiatives.
- Assist in developing Business Plans for approved projects.
- Create project presentations in Japanese and English to communicate ideas effectively.
- Oversee the development and execution of approved projects.
- Support business intelligence activities.
- Monitor stock levels and track shipment and delivery timelines of supplier products.
- Visit suppliers and customers as needed for business verification and relationship management.
- Organize business documents such as purchase orders, sales contracts, and shipping papers.
- Respond to customer emergencies, addressing issues like quality concerns and cargo delays.
- Participate in web meetings with Kanematsu Japan or other branches.
- Assist in preparing sales reports.
Requirements and skills
- Complete bachelor's degree.
- Advanced or fluent proficiency in Japanese.
- English proficiency at an advanced or fluent level is desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience in trading, including logistics, incoterms, letters of credit, and export procedures.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and booking containers for export.
- Experience in meat and food export is desirable.
- Availability for travel (5-10 days per month).
