HORIBA is seeking an Elite Sales Performer for the Southeast Region of the United States specifically residing within the territory.

Duties include:

  1. Responsible for selling company solutions and products across various fields and markets including the Semiconductor, Life Sciences, and Material Sciences.
  2. Sell various tools and solutions that include fluorescence, Raman, XRF, Optical Spectroscopy Components and Custom Systems, and Gas-Emission Analysis with minimum supervision while ultimately working with the Territory Sales Manager.
  3. Maintain client satisfaction through consistent and ongoing client contact and engagement while upholding HORIBA Code of Conduct and Professionalism.
  4. Expand business in existing accounts and secure business from new accounts.
  5. Handle customer inquiries, actively prospect, and conduct product demonstrations and presentations effectively.
  6. Develop customer interest in equipment, prepare quotations, and follow through for purchase orders.
  7. Achieve assigned sales targets and develop sales strategies.
  8. Attend local trade shows and maintain a digital marketing portfolio via LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and more.
  9. Engage in new scientific markets and develop strong client partnerships.
  10. Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
  11. Maintain customer/prospect database and activity using existing company Salesforce CRM.
  12. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information including forecasts, activities, and territory evaluations.
  13. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline, Masters or Ph.D. preferred, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience selling into Life Sciences, Materials Science, and semiconductor markets.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Prior sales experience required with a minimum of 5 years in addition to sales training from a reputable Sales Training Program/Company.
  5. Technical, capital equipment, and optical/spectroscopy experience required.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM, and Digital Marketing.
  7. Primarily residing in one of the following states: TX, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN.
  8. Ability to present independently.
  9. Prospecting using contacts, digital media, and other methods.
  10. Ability to drive a sale from initial contact to close.
  11. Ability to create and deliver presentations.
  12. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a desire to deliver results.
  13. Fast, self-directed learning.
