Job Description Summary
South Sales Director is responsible to set the transactional and contractual market strategy for combined and open cycle plants for South Cone customers in LATAM, and translate it into actionable go to market and sales tactics to grow the service business while leading the team to attain the orders, margin, convertibility and cash flow targets
Job Description

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the South Services Sales team to deliver on the Operating Plan, identify opportunities to drive volume growth in combined cycle plant and transactional services and develop opportunity identification
  • Collaborate with the Gas, Generator and Steam product lines to analyze installed base, and build a plan for the sales force to visit mapped targets.
  • Continuously map customer Outages, KPI´s, priorities and update respective internal systems.
  • Assign to Account Sales Managers target customers, opportunities, and priorities for the segment
  • Monitor, provide feedback and influence Market trends and regulations such as Norms, Laws & Guidelines whenever is possible.
  • Lead in the definition and implementation of marketing and commercial strategies to increase orders volume and profitability
  • Actively participate in Demand to Inquiry (DTI) process, establishing a systematic business-scouting program with the purpose of identifying existing and new market opportunities
  • Leverage cross-functional and cross business resources to maximize market penetration
  • Provide feedback when cross-selling for other GEV Businesses is identified, foster One team spirit across GEV customers.
  • Provide alternatives for product financing and multiyear budget allocation
  • Provide feedback to the Product Lines regarding product improvement needed in the region and NPI opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence organization to enhance GEV market intelligence including competitive environment.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with customers. Understand customers Markets and business Model, organization, decision making process and drivers.
  • Build influential relationships with assigned sub region at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers
  • Lead GEV pricing policies aiming to secure maximum profitability
  • Own sub-region input for SII planning and forecasting
  • Motivate, coach and Inspire sales team to go above and beyond

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales, preferably in Gas business
  • Combined cycle plant knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electric energy market
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience in team leadership is a plus.
  • Ability to influence peers and stakeholders to implement product strategy
  • Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Must be able to proficiently communicate in English.
  • If located in Brazil - Spanish fluency is nice to have
  • If located outside Brazil - Portuguese fluency is nice to have
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Clear and transparent communications skills
