A leading company is seeking a Research Associate I to join their Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology Department. The successful candidate will support mass spectrometry and chromatographic analysis, develop assays, and work within multidisciplinary teams. Main Responsibilities:
We have an opening for a talented temporary Research Associate / Senior Research Associate to join our Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology Department.
The successful candidate will support mass spectrometry and chromatographic analysis of biomarkers and other protein targets from various biospecimens.
Specifically, the individual will develop, validate, and execute assays to quantify protein targets from both in vitro and in vivo studies, supporting lead-finding and optimization efforts within multidisciplinary project teams.
They will assist in implementing robust, high-throughput sample preparation and data analysis workflows for mass spectrometric assays.
The candidate will conduct detailed data analyses, present findings to project teams, and have opportunities to develop innovative technologies for pharmacological assays.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. or M.S. in analytical biochemistry with 0-2 years of lab experience in academia, biotech, or pharmaceutical settings.
Experience in designing, developing, validating, and executing mass spectrometric, chromatographic, and affinity purification techniques for proteins and peptides is highly desirable, though not required.
Familiarity with common mass spectrometers and data analysis software is important but not mandatory.
Experience with automated or semi-automated instrumentation is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, excellent time management, and organizational skills are essential.
