Responsibilities

1. Design and analyze the structures of wood-frame buildings (mainly residential projects), ensuring they meet applicable codes and standards.
2. Develop comprehensive structural engineering plans and make recommendations based on your findings.
3. Collaborate with architects, builders, and other engineers to ensure proper design and integration of structural components.
4. Use structural analysis software to model and design wood-frame structures.
5. Manage project budgets and timelines, identify conflicts, and recommend corrective actions.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.

Requirements

1. At least 4 years of experience in woodframe structural engineering, specifically for projects in the United States or Canada.
2. Proficient in RISA 3D.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to complete projects within deadlines.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
