Overview

Remote Medical Coding Jobs in Brazil Rex.zone connects Brazil-based medical coding professionals with full-time remote work aligned with end-to-end revenue cycle management workflows. You will translate clinical documentation into accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, support compliant billing, and help reduce denials using secure remote tools and EHR/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Review charts and EHR notes and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes as applicable
• Validate modifiers and E/M levels; apply payer/CMS guidance and NCCI edits where relevant
• Flag documentation gaps and collaborate on clinical documentation improvement (CDI)
• Support clean claim submission and denial prevention through correct code selection
• Participate in coding audits, respond to QA feedback, and maintain audit-ready coding notes

Required Qualifications

• Medical coding experience with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions
• Comfortable working with EHR/EMR systems and coding tools in a secure remote setup
• Ability to meet productivity and first-pass accuracy targets
• Strong written communication for documentation queries and audit responses

Preferred Qualifications

• Active certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCA (may be required by some clients)
• Experience with coding audits, denial management, CDI, and specialty coding (e.g., ED, radiology, surgery)

Work Arrangement

Full-time, remote role for candidates based in Brazil. Projects may include professional fee, outpatient, inpatient DRG-related coding, and other specialties depending on client needs.

Compensation range: $30–$50/hr.
