Stack Builders is a remote-friendly international software consultancy delivering high-quality software for globally admired companies. We seek a collaborative Software Developer to focus on backend maintenance and development, ensuring reliability and implementing improvements across web and AI workflows.

You’ll work with Java (Maven), Node.js, and CI/CD processes, communicating with clients and contributing to technical direction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years developing software using Java (Maven) and Node.js.
• Full-stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong experience with Generative AI to improve software delivery while maintaining quality.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Buildkite familiarity.
• Strong written and spoken English for client communication.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain services and web applications using Java, Maven, and Node.js for product demos.
• Contribute to maintenance and development for the client’s web platform.
• Tackle backlog items like technical debt, updates, bugs, and supporting tasks for active epics.
• Utilize CI/CD practices to support reliable builds and delivery with Buildkite.
• Collaborate with the client’s engineering team and manage work with autonomy.
• Contribute to infrastructure changes, web apps, and AI workflow improvements as priorities require.

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain services and web applications using Java, Maven, and Node.js for product demos.
• Contribute to maintenance and component development for the client’s web platform.
• Work through backlog items such as technical debt, dependency updates, bug fixes, and supporting tasks for active epics.
• Use Buildkite and CI/CD practices to support reliable builds and delivery.
• Collaborate directly with the client’s engineering team, communicate progress and blockers, and manage assigned work independently.
• Contribute to infrastructure changes, web applications, and AI workflow improvements as project priorities require.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years developing software using Java (Maven) and Node.js.
• Full-stack software development experience, with expertise in building production-grade applications across frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong critical thinking when evaluating and applying AI technologies, with proven experience using Generative AI to improve software delivery while maintaining engineering quality.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with Buildkite are required.
• Strong written and spoken English for frequent communication with the client.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage work with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.
