Relief Retail Security Officer

Location: Reading and surrounding areas

Shifts: Various shifts between 08:00 and 22:00 - must be flexible to work any day/time

Requirements: Must drive and have own transport, retail security experience, and a valid SIA Door Supervisor license

Pay Rate: £13.97

Job Overview

You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people, and assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators. Provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors, undertake additional training for self-development, while upholding Mitie and our clients' reputation. This relief role covers sickness and holiday shifts, requiring flexibility and last-minute shift availability. Ideally, you would have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.

Main Duties

1. Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site.
2. Conduct regular patrols of the site.
3. Deliver customer service to staff and visitors.
4. Support staff with reasonable requests.
5. Complete relevant reports for accurate record-keeping.

Training

Complete all required competency training and additional development as directed by the Operations Manager. Ensure your license is renewed 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

1. Report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards immediately.
2. Stay alert to threats or changes in the environment and take appropriate action.
3. Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations.
4. Record incidents accurately and promptly.
5. Report incidents to emergency services and Communication Centre.
