ABEC’s Headquarters in Bethlehem, PA serves a global market. To support our growth, ABEC is seeking a remote Regional Sales Manager who will be responsible for top-line sales growth in the Service Business Unit.

The Western Region for SERVICE is defined as: CA, NV, WA, OR, Alaska, and Western Canada. Ideal candidates will reside within the Western USA.

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing business of an existing portfolio of ABEC accounts within a defined geography while also prospecting, qualifying, developing, and signing new accounts.

Responsibilities:
  1. Exceed all activity standards for prospecting, meetings, presentations, proposals, and closed business.
  2. Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to grow market share.
  3. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
  4. Develop and implement sales opportunity and account strategies.
  5. Work with ABEC business unit Managers to qualify, develop, and close opportunities.
  6. Maintain a close working relationship with other offices to drive activity/results through the leveraging and consistent application of corporate best practice sales processes and initiatives.
  7. Arrange sales calls, understand competitor activity, coordinate presentations and proposals.
  8. Provide regular reporting of activities including forecasts and call reports.
  9. Providing input and analysis of market and industry trends.
  10. Monitor competition activity as appropriate.
  11. Maintain professional and technical knowledge and establish critical professional networks.
  12. Maintain customer and territory knowledge.
  13. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through relationship building activities.
  14. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  15. Execute other tasks as assigned.
  16. Provide timely feedback to senior management.
Qualifications:
  1. 4 Year degree in Science, Engineering, or Business plus a proven record of successful consultative sales experience, including strategic selling and negotiation. Successful related work experience in a services industry may be considered.
  2. Three to five years’ experience selling within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry or experience with outside direct sales success using consultative and solution-oriented sales approaches.
  3. Knowledge in one or all of the following industries: Engineering, manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals.
  4. Ability to call on and influence the decision makers in an organization for the areas represented (operations, quality, business unit, product development, procurement, engineering, etc.).
  5. Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, highly competitive, deadline-oriented environment.
  6. Ability to work cross functionally within the ABEC organization to achieve results.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
  9. Minimal 2 years’ experience utilizing CRM software.
