What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to maximize patient access to company products
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies and Patient‑Physician Services to support marketed products
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmacies, physicians, and their staff to resolve coverage issues
- Introduce technology options for electronic Patient Access submissions and assist with documentation requirements
- Conduct Patient Access workshops and assist with new hire training as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA degree in related field AND 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, with 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, and government payers
- Excellent working knowledge of patient support programs and prescription adjudication processes
- Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60% for field sales and industry meetings
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred AND 4+ years of related experience
- Previous experience in other functions in pharma/biotech such as sales or marketing
- Knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with broader business concepts
- Developing reputation within the company related to area of expertise
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work in a cross‑functional environment
