Regional Business Development Manager, Brazil

Work Location: Field Sales - the selected candidate will be in São Paulo. Expected travel is 50%. This is a contractor position.

Summary: Responsible for driving profitable growth through developing, leveraging, and growing channel partners through a variety of activities including acquisition, retention, and penetration of end user customers. The territory aligned to this role is Brazil. Activities include developing both channel and end user business plans and executing marketing initiatives that align with HIOKI resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in Brazil via channel partners.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, industries, and key accounts for channel sales efforts.
  • Develop, cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, provide training to customers, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage distributor partners within the region.
  • Provide training and support to distributors, ensuring alignment with company values, goals, and sales strategies.
Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to understand and report industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs in Brazil.
  • Analyze data and provide strategic insights related to end users in assigned regions.
  • Utilize market insights to develop channel sales strategies and product positioning.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, regular progress reports, and performance analyses.
  • Daily management of pipeline, activity related to end users and channel partners and keep current contact information in NetSuites (CRM).
  • Collaborate with the Latin America sales team to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as business development, marketing, customer support, and finance to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Provide input for the development of marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and product improvements.
  • Prepare for and lead meetings with customers, representatives, and internal teams.
  • Manage Travel & Expense budget appropriately.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other related field with a minimum of 5 years corporate B2B direct selling experience in related industries in power & energy, automotive, factory automation, manufacturing line and MRO.
  • Bilingual in English and Portuguese.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in B2B/professional sales preferred and/or experience managing distribution to end user segments.
  • Experience in managing distributor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Brazil market and cultural nuances.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Brazil and occasionally internationally.
  • Ability to develop, modify, continuously improve and execute sales plans.
  • Self-motivated, analytical and a team player.
  • Ambitious and performance driven personality.
  • Open mind for cultural difference and diversity.
  • Candidates must have a USA Visa and own a vehicle.
  • Test and Measurement equipment knowledge desirable.
